We brought students together to build capacity for sustainability work

Last November in Newcastle University Students’ Union, we held our third, annual Student Sustainability Summit. Eighty-four students, staff and students’ union officers joined forces to learn, network, attend workshops and take action on sustainability and social justice.

Issues covered included: curriculum reform; sustainable food; divestment; climate justice; and much more. The illuminating keynote speech was given by the Danni Paffard, UK divestment campaigner at 350.org and one of the Heathrow 13 activists. What a treat!
