Housing and energy: ensuring students live in homes fit for study
We conducted a survey, completed by over 2,500 students, in order to understand more about how students use energy within their homes in the private rented sector, and the impact this has on their lives as students.
Specific detail was gathered on:
- Understanding how fuel poverty and cold homes are experienced by different segments of the student population.
- Understanding of the impacts of fuel poverty on health and wellbeing for students.
- Gaining an insight into positive and negative influences of ‘smart’ technologies designed to facilitate energy conservation.
