This June, we held our annual Sustainability Programmes Roundtable, bringing together those delivering NUS sustainability programmes to network and share good practice. The theme of this year’s Roundtable was ‘Innovation’.
Together, we celebrated our years of catalysing action on sustainability across our campuses, communities and curricula, and looked forward to how we can continue to develop creative ways to deliver sustainability engagement programmes. One of the highlights of the event was a panel session discussing how we can spark interest in sustainability issues. We heard from Simon Jakeman, the Green Impact Lead at London Fire Brigade, about his journey from fighting fires to fighting climate change, and how he’s empowering others in the Brigade to get on board through Green Impact.
One hundred percent of attendees rated the event four or five stars out of five!
