We think that the values of Fairtrade overlap with the values of the student movement – from supporting workers’ rights, to getting people into education, to bringing communities together.
That’s why we work with students’ unions to move towards being as close to 100% Fairtrade as possible.
This year alone, we sold £175,000 of Fairtrade tea and coffee, £40,000 of Fairtrade clothing – and £945,000 of Fairtrade products overall!
In addition, we sold £14,000 of organic products, and £10,000 of recycled stationary.
This all goes to show how impactful the purchasing power of the student movement can be. And we’re determined to make it a positive impact.
